I'd guess this down around 20th position for reprinting Bronze Age stuff. It wasn't distinguished (other than its historical significance) and the character never really caught on. Maybe if BL hadn't been a victim of the DC Implosion, things would be different. If it's printed sooner than 2015, its because the character's been successfully revived, or DC is pumping out 40+ Archives per year. IP: Logged |

I remember buying it in the seventies -- but I don't remember it as being that good. There were several other "short run" seventies titles that I think would be more interesting to collect -- The Shadow, Beowulf, Weird Worlds (Ironwolf), Ragman, Shade the Changing Man, Stalker to name a few off the top of my head.... Definitely! One of the legs of my dining roome table is shorter than the rest, and a Black Lightning volume should be JUST thick enough to stop its wobbling. Oh. You said "seriously." Well, seriously, I can't think of any pother reason why I'd want a book filled with Tony Isabella Black Lightning stories. IP: Logged |
